Greater Illinois Title Company (GIT), a Chicago-based title insurance and real estate information services provider, has announced that Stephen G. Peca, of Orland Park, has joined GIT as a vice president and regional account manager and will be based out of the firm's Tinley Park office. He will be responsible for sales, marketing and business development in the south and southwestern suburbs of Cook and Will Counties, with a special emphasis on the builder and new construction market.

Mr. Peca, a graduate of Lewis University, began his career as a sales consultant with Chicago Title where he worked for over 15 years. He joined First American Title in 1987 as a senior account manager specializing in builder business. He has served as a director of the Southwest Suburban Homebuilders Association, Homebuilders Association of Illinois, Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago and the Sales and Marketing Council. He has chaired numerous committees within the homebuilding industry and is active in many real estate related trade groups.

In making the announcement, Charles K. Papp, Senior Executive Vice President of GIT stated, "Steve will focus his efforts on growing all segments of our business in the south and southwest suburbs with a special emphasis on the builder and new construction market segment.
